Civic Service  Emmanuel Church

On Sunday March 5th Billericay Community Choir were privileged to be invited to participate in the Billericay Civic Service, for the second time in their short history.

The event is  a  celebration of life in the community organised jointly by the local churches and town council of the this ever growing commuter town.

For some of the choir this was a new experience, including both Deborah and Mike our Music Director and Accompanist respectfully. The choir were asked to provide four pieces in two sections. The theme of the seasons; firstly visited in 2016 our summer concert was chosen.

The choir opened with the delightful "Autumn Leaves followed by one of their all time favs - "A Winter's Tale". The next section transported the audience to Spring with their accomplished rendition of "The Rose" and finished with the haunting "Summertime".

The choir received many compliments concerning the quality  of sound they produce; which is thanks to the tuition of Deborah and Mike.

It also proved an invaluable experience in readiness for our Spring concert "Some Enchanted Evening" - Songs from the Movies being performed at Christ Church, Perry Street on the 29th of April.
