Our History
The choir was two years in the planning by Vince Lewington and Chris Davis. The biggest challenge was finding a Musical Director who had the necessary skills and time to lead us.
This problem was solved when a friend suggested approaching Moira Frize-Williams
who was retiring as Head of Music at Mayflower County High School. Happily, she very quickly agreed and the Billericay Community Choir began singing together in October 2013.
We were really blessed when Julia Kim joined us as our accompanist in January 2014. She is gifted musician in her own right enhancing the choirs sound throughout 2014.
After leading us so wonderfully for two years it was with great sadness we announced that Moira was leaving us in June 2015 to follow her retirement dreams.
